At Joey's Bar we aim to create a fun and chilled out place for you to enjoy making and listening to great music. We hold an Open Mic and Jam Session on Fridays and have live bands and solo singers throughout the year.

Open Mic Night
Every Friday 7:30pm
Our Open Mic Session gives space to all who enjoy great live music, whether you are an experienced musician or just starting out, a solo performer or a full band. If you wish to play alone, you are very welcome to do so, no one will ever join in without invitation. However, if you would like to have accompaniment, there are plenty of talented people ready to help out at your request.


Slots are normally 3 or 4 numbers, depending upon the length of the songs. We also usually have 'Featured Acts' who will be given time for a longer set. However, there is still plenty of time for people who just turn up on the night.

House Instruments
As well as a full PA and lighting rig, we also have instruments for musicians to play at our open mic nights including electric guitar + amp, electro-acoustic guitars, bass guitar + amp, drum kit, and baby grand piano. If you are a pianist you are welcome to use it as part of the open mic.
